GTA 6 Countdown

When does GTA 6 release?

GTA 6 is scheduled to release on Thursday, November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games confirmed this date on its official website and store pages.

The live timer at the top of this page counts down to the start of that date on your device. It is a date tracker, not a promise that the game will unlock at midnight in every country. Rockstar has not announced one worldwide launch time, so players should check their own console store for the exact time shown in their region.

When can players preload GTA 6?

Rockstar's support page says digital preloading is set to begin at local midnight on November 12, 2026, one week before launch. Players who preorder digitally should check their PlayStation or Xbox library for the download option when preloading becomes available.

Rockstar also says the physical version will be sold as a box containing a download code, rather than a game disc, to support preloading. Availability and the steps to redeem a code can depend on the store and region, so always follow the instructions shown by the retailer or console.

Which platforms will GTA 6 be on?

At launch, Grand Theft Auto VI is announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has not announced a PC release date. PC players should be careful with posts that claim to know a confirmed PC launch date unless Rockstar shares that information through an official channel. The countdown on this page is for the announced console release date.

What is GTA 6 about?

GTA 6 takes players back to Vice City, a fictional city inspired by Miami, and the wider state of Leonida. The story follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a couple who become caught in a criminal conspiracy after a job goes wrong.

They have to depend on each other as they move through a world filled with crime, risk and chances to make money. Rockstar's trailers have shown busy streets, beaches, highways, nightlife and different parts of Leonida, giving fans a closer look at the game's modern setting.

What is new in the latest GTA 6 trailer?

Rockstar released the official GTA VI Launch Trailer on October 15, 2026. It offers another look at Jason, Lucia and the world they will explore, with more scenes from Vice City and Leonida. Fans can also watch the first trailer, second trailer and the extended look linked on this page. For the safest source of new footage, release news and screenshots, use the official GTA VI website.

How should players use this GTA 6 countdown?

Check the timer whenever you want to see the remaining days, hours, minutes and seconds before the scheduled release date. You can share the countdown with friends or add the scheduled launch date to your device calendar.

The page also brings together key release facts, official trailers, screenshots and common questions, so you do not need to search across different pages for basic information. If Rockstar changes the date or shares new launch details, this page should be updated to match the official announcement.

Until launch day, avoid treating leaks, guessed unlock times or unconfirmed PC dates as official news. Rockstar's website and support pages are the best places to confirm GTA 6 release information. GTAScroll will continue covering the latest GTA 6 news and guides as more details become available.
